My desire is to bring a poetic and immersive yet realistic approach to wildlife photography: Vivid textures, emotional intimacy and the drama/tranquility in the natural world. I invite you into these moments. I still believe that we will protect what we care about.
After decades at a desk marketing entertainment and communications services, and then consulting, I finally do the things I never made enough time for. I travel frequently, and volunteer as director of the Wingman Foundation, collecting and distributing food year-round and toys at the holidays.
I live at the New Jersey shore with my husband, Tom and our cat Grace, plus deer, birds, squirrels and chipmunks. Love them all, especially Tom and Gracie, who also suffer most from my frequent travels.
"I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day."

I am a better photographer because of the sages who have dropped keys for me. To wit:
David DuChemin has generously mentored me. His books make me think, and being on his adventure list has given me incredible opportunities to travel, learn and improve.
Ray Hennessy is an extraordinary tour leader and teacher. He does the recon - with his lovely fiancee Emilie Reid - to make sure each trip delivers fantastic images.
Talented, creative artist Lori Ryerson is my coach, my critic and my dear friend (she makes me laugh til it hurts).
And Mary Anne Karren introduced me to the Great Salt Lake and taught me how to get eye to eye - and muddy - with ten million birds.
the small man builds cages for everyone he knows. while the sage, who has to duck his head when the moon is low keeps dropping keys all night long for the beautiful rowdy prisoners."
